In addition, the League sponsors general job fairs so various businesses, organizations or government agencies can exhibit and recruit community residents.

Wal-Mart Workforce Development Grant

A $50,000 grant from Wal-Mart has enabled the League to increase its workforce development capacity. When the grant was renewed for a second year, the League was able to provide career development and/or employment training to the client population seeking services. The League reached out to a broader pool of potential employees and employers. Individuals seeking jobs and employers looking for good workers were better served through the League’s workforce development program, which has been renewed for a third year.
